Rain, rain, go away!

The nor'easter that hit us a few days ago was terrible. All night long, the winds howled. And we had rain for days and days. And snow. And ice. It felt like it would never end.
Fortunately, it is ending. Tomorrow, the forecast actually calls for sun, the first sun in about a week. And while it's still raining outside of my window today, I have hope that it will let up at some point. Neighbors have reported flooding and in nearby community, there was devastating snow and ice.
If I do not get outside, my kids will go nuts. I took them for a walk in the rain on Monday just to remember what the grass and trees look like.
You'd think that the plants would be happy with the rain. They're not. Along with the rain came bitter cold and ice, weighing down the branches of newly budding bushes - those that I'm not sure have much of a chance now to make a spring statement.
Keep your fingers crossed for some nicer weather in the days to come. We really need it.
