It's a Cinch!

We go through plenty of napkins around here in a week, but we can never polish off too quickly the whole column that starts out with them in a standing stack-pack. And typically, the plastic that surrounds the napkins on all sides is a little unwieldy as you move through dispensing them on a weekly (or daily) basis.

Drugstore chain CVS has solved that problem with a nifty solution. Their new CVS-brand packs of 250 napkins are in a package that features a pull-string closure. It makes for a sort of cinched plastic knapsack of napkins. They're easier to store, stay flat, and are less prone to getting crumpled before use.

While the new packaging keeps the napkins more cleanly closed-off, I also appreciate another unintended (perhaps, or perhaps not) feature: the kids love working the drawstring... which, for them, means setting the table just got a whole lot less chore-like.
