Ham, Cheese and Guava Rollups

Rocco and ChiChi are pretty amenable to new tastes, but here's another idea that worked on a couple of their friends recently. Guava is a tropical fruit -- known to incite passion in those familiar with its strawberry-pear-like taste -- but isn't nearly as popular as other tropical fruits like mangoes and papayas. So, if a kid hears "let's have guava," he's likely to give it a no-go.
But for a quick, tasty lunch -- with a hint of exotic taste -- this easy recipe combines some kid favorites, like ham, cheese sticks and tortillas, with a dollop of the sweet unknown... and prompts lip-smacking smiles.
For each HC&G Rollup, you'll need:
1 soft taco-sized tortilla
2 slices minimally-processed, preservative-free ham (such as Hormel Natural Choice)
1 mozzarella cheese stick
2 teaspoons guava jelly (such as Smucker's)
Pull apart the cheese stick and layer it on the tortilla. Top with the two slices of ham, and then spread the tablespoon of jelly over the ham. Roll up the tortilla, burrito-style, and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. (Alternately, place on a 350º griddle for 5 minutes, flipping the Roll-up midway through).
Serve with edamame, green peas, or shredded lettuce with choice of dressing.
