Well I think this is a great idea. I was a dancer for years and I've found that it is just about the best workout that you can get. It may be too racy for some but no one is making you do it, let the people who enjoy and are comfortable enough with themselves feel good about doing this. Not only can this be a confidence builder but it is healthy as well, they aren't trying to be professionals, just get a workout and a confidence booster at the same time. I disagree that this has no place on a disneyfamily site, part of the family are the adults. Frankly I'm glad to see part of the site dedicated to someone older than 11.

As a husband? I say "cool" - Reading about it at Disney "FAMILY" .com? Not really... sorry.

My daughter had her bachlorette party in Chicago where in clubs they have pole dancing. Well, guess what mom and her 2 aunts went pole dancing. It was so much fun. At her wedding we had a make shift pole and she loved it. We all did it including the mothers, and grandmothers. My daughter loved it. Express yourself, let loose and just have fun with it!!

I agree with all that Dorotheaaa said. And would add that it would seem to me that sex is inferred into 98% of everything on tv and in the movies and music, and I find this reprehensible and unnecessary. It's no wonder that there is so little respect for one another in our society, as everyone is represented as an "object" to be "used".

Sorry a good old walk will work for me..Why does sex have to be in 95% of what we talk about. And you wonder why kids have physical relationships earlier? Now mommy even does pole dancing..too bad, women think they need to impress their husbands with sexy exercising. What happened to husband and wives, being friends, confidants, lovers with the door closed...?

i have seen other media proclaim the benifits of pole dancing and i have to agree that it is a good thing. cheers to you for trying it.every woman should be in touch with thier sexual side and sometimes after you become a parent you lose a big part of it( i know i did)( i became only "mommy" and was scared to do anything that wasn't "mommy-like" and then after about two years i realized that it wasn't working for me or my husband. i think pole dancing is a way for women to celebrate thier bodies and realize that we are beautiful and that there are many sides to us. and it is nice at the end of the day when the chilren are asleep and most of the laundry is done and the toys are all put away and the dishes washed, that we can forget about the daily "have-to-dos" and "strip" away the stress and enjoy ourselves! So yes, i think that the more women that discover how empowering it is, it will become mainstream!
