Frankenstein cupcakes -- so good, even mad scientists want the recipe.
Halloween reminds us of how darn charming monsters are.
No, really. From vampires to mummies to mad scientists' creations, Halloween-time might as well be when we bake a cake for Dracula, or sing a birthday song to Frankenstein. Not that they have actual birthdays in October but if any time's a good time to pay them some respect, it's now.
If you've got a monster-obsessed tot, have a little monster mash of your own, by making crafts and treats with a creature theme:
- No mad science is required to make these charming Frankenstein Cupcakes.
- Talk about a creature feature: This mini-monster cupcake is almost -- almost -- too cute to eat.
- When it comes to monsters, big isn't always better, but it sure helps. Check out this picnic-table version of Frankenstein's monster for your front yard.
- A while back, another Family.com blog, Mom & Pop Culture, put together this list of the best monster books for any age groups. Those monsters, so literary.
- Got a milk jug? You won't lose your head making one of these monster faces -- it's an easy, simple Halloween treat.
- You gotta praise a girl who goes scary with her Halloween ensemble. Check out this young one's Vampire Princess costume.
- Kids will get wrapped up in making this adorable craft-stick mummy.
