As mentioned in the previous post, I am a Halloween convert.  After spending much of my life as a weenie, I married a Halloween crazy man and I have grown quite fond of Halloween and all that goes with it.  As a "convert" to the whole Halloween-fun-fest, I had to learn quickly how to create parties for the hard-core fans of the holiday.  Read and learn campers.  Here are some fun things that will make your party or gathering unique and way fun.

PARTY SUPPLIES
Must Have for Any Halloween Buffet Table:  Brain Jell-O Mold
The brain Jell-O mold is a BIG hit for any party or school function.  Really.  As young as second grade, the kids go crazy for some brain jello to eat.  It never fails to bring squeals of delight and horror at this fun food treat.  Get your brain mold at Archie McPhee online for online $7.95 but the fun factor is priceless, believe me.

Pencil Toppers-Pirate Style
The gift bags for your Halloween party are not complete without a few Pirate Toppers.  Once again, go immediately to Archie McPhee online to purchase some pencil toppers, set of five will run you a whopping $5.00.  Perfect accent to a treat bag or party bag for your Halloween party.

Only the Coolest Ghouls Get to Drink from Skeleton Hand Glasses

Especially for the "big kids" at your Halloween fest---skeleton hand glasses to drink from!  These are a huge hit with the adults and older ones at the party.  One dozen glasses will run you $17.95 and can be stored from one year to the next.  Trust me.

Glow in the Dark Plastic Halloween Cups
For the younger kids (or the wimps like me) you can get a few dozen glow-in-the-dark stadium style cups.  These cups are fun and not too scary.  For $4.95 per dozen, you can give them a drink cup and a take home party favor.

FOOD AND DRINK RECIPES

Twinkie Kabobs
For a good Halloween parties, I think you need to make things fun and a little silly.  Twinkie Kabobs are one of my favorite things to serve for our Halloween parties.  It isn't all scary and you can't go wrong with Hostess Twinkies.  It's a given that everyone will love anything with a twinkie in it.  Click here to go to the Hostess Twinkie recipe page, see how you can make Twinkie Kabobs for your fun-fest.

Harry Potter's Dragon Snot
Can't go wrong with a few rounds of Dragon Snot for your party!  Mix 8 ounces of Sprite® or 7-Up® with one scoop of lime sherbert.  It's good and it's totally gross.  The kids will love it.

Blood and Guts with Eyeballs

1 package green spinach pasta (elbow macaroni is best)
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 jar stuffed Spanish olives

Boil pasta according to package instructions. Heat spaghetti spaghetti sauce. Cut olives in half to make "eyeballs" and place on top of the "blood and guts."

I will be posting a lot in the next few weeks about Halloween stuff.  It's such a big deal around our house so there's lots to talk about.  Hopefully my experience with worms, fake limbs and other must haves of the Halloween season will help you have a fun with your family.  My husband is one of the best at making memories for our kids, so I will do my best to pass along some of his natural magic.
