The countdown is on and Halloween is just around the corner. If
you're caught short on time, but still need to get a party
together, this may be just the post you need to read. Now, this
isn't fancy or overly special, but it works!

My husband and oldest daughter are in full "Halloween" mode right now. It is exactly one week until our annual Halloween Spook House, which takes place in our basement. So, as a Fit Mama, Halloween brings some difficult issues for me.
How can I let my children dress up and run around the neighborhood like I did as a kid and enjoy getting as much candy as they possibly can in light of my own weight issues and the obesity epidemic in this country? We already know that I adore fall and a huge part of the fall fun is Halloween. Beyond the usual jack-o-lanterns, costumes and candy, I like to make the holiday last by starting a few weeks early.
