Suri Cruise shows off her toddler-sized fashion sense while on a stroll with Mom.

Posted September 17, 2008 by Audrey Turcot

By now, we're all too familiar with Suri Cruise's ultra-chic wardrobe that boasts jaw-droppingly expensive pieces from Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, and Roberto Cavalli.

We've flipped through magazine pages sporting the beautiful Beckham boys turned out in cool dude duds from Fred Segal and witnessed Kimora Lee Simmons' girls strutting in Mom's own designs.

But, surely, not all celeb kids sport all designer labels all the time, right?

Right. And, while most of us grownups will never own a Roberto Cavalli-anything ourselves, there are ways to cop celeb styles for our own kids for less. Way less.

For starters, lots of star types love Appaman whose trendy-yet-cool-and-offbeat lines are affordable and frequently seen on the Jolie-Pitt clan, as well as Kate's boy Ryder Hudson and Gwen Stefani's first-born Kingston Rossdale.

Crib Rock Couture has enthusiastic consumers in lots of Hollywood moms including Reese Witherspoon and Denise Richards. A few clicks through their website and it's easy to see why. They avoid the typical "Daddy's Little Princess" tee phrases opting instead to design 100% Pima cotton concert tees for the kid set, except the bands on tour are nursery rhymes and other age-appropriate acts.

"My son never wants to take off his Gap army fatigue pants," Madonna recently told Elle Magazine about Rocco, age 8. To round out his wardrobe, Madonna looks to Sandbox Couture for their online smorgasbord of styles and brands that, hello, also offers up nice discounts and email coupon codes! Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth is another devotee of this line for her brood.

Courteney Cox and Britney Spears are fans of Might Politey, an apparel line owned by Erik Carlson, the production designer on Desperate Housewives. Mighty Politey's clever word + picture = quirky combinations have, not-surprisingly, taken off like wildfire and can be seen on tots throughout la-la land and beyond.

Demi Moore, Holly Robinson Peete, and Tori Spelling are but a few of the legions of celebs and regular folk who just eat up GlamaJama's tees, tanks, and loungewear that take you "from the crib to the catwalk."

Whether you're a celeb or not, it's hard to go wrong at BabyStyle -- the popular store's credo is "We do the shopping for you, so you have more time to focus on the important stuff. Like naps." Famous fans like Naomi Watts and Halle Berry choose among cool clothes, accessories, toys, and decor items that scream "high end," while their prices are reasonable and, come sale time, down right good!

Of course, if you hit the lotto and really want to splurge on name brand designer duds for your child, you can jet on out to L.A. and hit the LifeSize kids' shop at the famed Fred Segal. As they put it, LifeSize "has an incredibly fashionable and stylish clientele, who also happen to be underage. This utterly unique boutique [is] a favorite among Hollywood heavy-hitters who must find the perfect outfit for their child's first movie premiere or black tie gala."

If you would rather save on the airfare, just click here and let your fingers do the walking through some seriously stylish, albeit pricey, togs.
