Hello Catherine- I have read your column for the last year but have never posted a comment until now. While I do enjoy reading recipes I will miss your insights into parenting. They always helpful me enjoy the whole parenting journey a little more. I do subscribe to Wondertime - great magazine - so I will look for you there.

All this for you. I can't begin to imagine what I'd do for you if I lived closer!! I am going to miss Ben and Birdy terribly - I have been a loyal reader (seldom poster) since you were pregnant with Birdy and I have enjoyed every single beautiful post you have written. You have made me laugh and cry and sigh and giggle more times than I can count and I will miss your wit and gentle wisdom.
I do enjoy food - both the eating and the cooking so I will do as I advise my daughter to do. I shall blow my nose, take a deep breath and move graciously into the future.
Your plum cake does look good.

I love making something warm and homemade for my sweet family, especially when I wear my cool pink and green retro apron. Yes, I know, it's so cliche as a feminist graduate of an all women's college but I do have a nurturing domestic side and I embrace it fully.

This is my second comment - my first didn't show up. Just so you know, my first comment was better but I wrote it without a toddler at my feet, pulling on my pajamas and saying "Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy ..." Anyway, you've been "feeding" my mother soul for the last 2 1/2 years. Thank you! Can't wait to see where the journey goes from here!
