Baby Gifts: Clothing For The Top Half
1 |
A pretty headband can pull an outfit together.
I gave you a list of gifts for the bottom half of the baby earlier, so it's only fair to give you my picks for the top half. Time is running out, but with express shipping you can still get many of these before Christmas.
Many people love putting bows on baby girls. I'll admit, you can only take so many, "So, how old is he?" comments before you want to stick a little pink bow on her head. But stick-on bows aren't my thing. When Cordy was a baby, I found Blooming Bows. They have gorgeous bows and headbands with bows. They range from giant bows to petite bows, in all sorts of colors and patterns. I prefer the headbands, especially for babies like mine, who don't have enough hair for a hairclip. The picture here is the one I had made for St. Patrick's Day, and the crowd adored Cordy at the parade that year.
Want your toddler to look cute and learn at the same time? Check out these adorable t-shirts from Learning Tees. Each shirt has a beautiful design for each letter of the alphabet. C is for crab, and sometimes I couldn't think of a better representation for Cordy.
If you're looking for something that will be around when your baby is all grown up and starting a family of her own, then you have to pay a visit to Monsters in Mittens. The hand-knit layette items are pricey, but the classic look and Merino wool means these items will look good now or thirty years from now. My favorite items are the bonnet and the amazing sun dress.
Want something a little more edgy for your future activist? Then Tiny Revolutionary is the shop for you. With onesies advertising everything from peace to environmental conservation to politics, you'll find a cause you believe in along with gorgeous artwork to go with it. Also, $1 from every sale goes to charity, so you're helping some good causes while you shop.
