Water, water... everywhere?

Ever since Boris was born, I've found the idea of 64oz. per day laughable. What happens is that I'll think it's time to get a glass--but then I get distracted. Often because Hamlet wants something ("Right NOW! Please.") or Boris gets fussy. Even when both boys are calm and non-needy, so focused am I on accomplishing housework or writing work that I don't think to drink until I'm thirsty, which some nutritionists believe is a sign of dehydration.
However, Snopes.com debunks the 64oz./day myth. While my 3-4 cups of decaffeinated green tea per day are likely enough, more water intake certainly couldn't hurt. It helps prevent water retention (and thus weight-loss efforts), and more importantly, is necessary to make enough milk.
Although many people daily fill a half-gallon container (or, in my case, 16oz. bottles) with water, apparently, this isn't necessary after all--which makes it at least one less thing I have to worry about!
