Product review: V8 Fusion juice
1 |
Hamlet's a picky eater. Many of the things he rejects have offensive textures, or look like they will have offensive textures. As you might imagine, this makes it hard for us to get fruits and vegetables into him.
Enter V8 Fusion. This juice is so good that I don't know what took V8 so long to invent it. Three different flavors--Strawberry Banana, Tropical Orange, and Peach Mango--combine vegetable and fruit juices to make one full serving of each food group per 8 oz. glass. An added bonus: the juice contains no added sugar. Just what was in the produce that went into it.
The juice names are deceptive. Strawberry Banana, for example, contains the juices of sweet potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, and beets; the other two juices contain some combination of "yellow" vegetables and the fruits they're named for.
Hamlet's favorite? Strawberry Banana (perhaps not surprisingly). He discovered it last spring, when I began drinking it for pregnancy's sake. His name for it is thus "Mama red juice." For now, I'm keeping secret just how healthy it really is.
