I've had a lot of pressure to potty train my two and a half year old, but she shows no interest. I'm not going to even think about it until after baby #2 is born, because I know far too many kids who have regressed right after a new baby comes in.

Everyone tells me you just have to wait until they're ready. Don't worry, I highly doubt he'll go to kindergarten in pull-ups! :)

Oh my goodness, I am SO showing this to my husband when he gets home! He's all freaked out because our 44-month-old (sorry to scare you) is still not potty trained. It's clear, though, that he isn't ready. He tells us he's pooping; we ask if he wants to try the potty; his answer? "No, I'm pooping!" As if the two activities are mutually exclusive.

I think he will train in a matter of days, but probably not till kindergarten. :P

Ah potty training. Just had a chat with the pediatrician about that ... Everything I've read says that if kids aren't ready, then back off. Potty training can't be rushed. So, if you want my two cents, pile on the pull-ups for the time being and try again another day. And $35 times that many weeks later ...
