Last Week in Florida, Poolside: "Hey Amy, weren't you in Florida?" my husband joked.

I continued spraying my shoulders liberally with SPF 50 sunscreen, swiped from my son's diaper bag.   Truthfully I probably would have used my own SPF 15 but was too lazy to go back up to the room for it.   "Honestly Brian" I said, "What do I need to risk a burn for?  Look at me, I'm practically the size of a calving whale, I hardly think a tan is going to transform me into some 'cute little thing' at this point.  Need I remind you that the sun's bad for your skin- it's a risk that doesn't have any payoff for me at this point.  Besides, it's not like anyone's going to notice if I have a tan or not!"

This week, in the Office: "Hey Amy, where were you last week?" colleagues asked in the hallway.  "Florida!" I said, brightly.  A pause, and then one asked uncertainly, "Did it rain?"
