Just Amy
If tension headaches count, this mom is having it all!
Last Week in Florida, Poolside: "Hey Amy, weren't you in
Florida?" my husband joked.
I continued spraying my shoulders liberally with SPF 50 sunscreen, swiped from my son's diaper bag. Truthfully I probably would have used my own SPF 15 but was too lazy to go back up to the room for it. "Honestly Brian" I said, "What do I need to risk a burn for? Look at me, I'm practically the size of a calving whale, I… Read More

We just returned from a brief vacation in the Florida Keys.
It had been two years since our last official vacation and now I
remember why. They really need to find another word for
"vacation" when you bring young children with you. More along the
lines of: Away From Home Test of Endurance. Actually the trip was
great, probably since my expectations were set appropriately-
about a notch above terror. It's not always to always be on your
game on…

When I was pregnant with my son Jack, I was sick from 4
weeks to almost 6 months. I often couldn't even look at food and,
terrified my baby was starving, would try to force down nutrition

is hopeful this means he will hear a lot less about them as it
will be channeled to my blog.
To start with, I will review the car seat that I spend hours per week silently cursing. Don't get me wrong, the Britax Marathon… Read More

As previously alluded to, I am currently "in the family
way" and in just about everyone else's way, with my rapidly
expanding belly. Behind door #1, I've been advised, waits boy
#2. Actually I didn't require extensive medical expertise to get
this information. As I readied for the 20 week sonogram, WE told
the technician that WE wanted to know the baby's gender if it
cooperated. This was a victory in itself, as with my first
pregnancy, my husband had…

The first time I launched a blog I felt like I was doing
the electronic equivalent of dropping a message in a bottle into
the ocean and was slightly stunned when people responded, and
majorly so when Disney did. I had no idea all you had to do was
title a post "Pending Discovery" and you got discovered. How
fantastic. It reminds me of those self help, transform your life
books which boil down to 500 pages of "Think Positive".
