Breastfeeding privacy with Hooter Hider

So I did not breastfeed my oldest son. I can list about a zillion reasons as to why I didn't: it was hard; parenting was new to me, I was overwhelmed and embarassed. The bottom line is that I wasn't prepared and it was such a foreign activity to me that I gave up too quickly.
With my second son, I went in with an open mind and honestly, didn't give it much thought. So from the moment he came out, I thought, I'll just go with it and see how far this takes us again. This time, I'm happy to report, we're almost four months in and it's been a piece of cake. The biggest reason for the ease my second time around: my preparation. I knew what to expect and knew what products would be good to aid my experience.
One such product that has made a world of difference to me is the Hooter Hider (also called Bebe Au Lait). I know that many breastfeeders will respond that I should be comfortable doing it whenever, wherever, as it's my right as a woman and a Mom. But I'm a modest person, and despite the fact that I understand I have a right to nurse anywhere and in front of anyone, I just can't do it without a little privacy. And I'm not the type to just go up into a room and close the door. So many Moms I know feel the same way.
Thus, the Hooter Hider has been a fantastic product for me and my experience. It's a simple nursing cover designed to give Mom privacy. What's great about it: an adjustable strap that goes around Mom's neck, the fabric drapes in front. A pliable wire inside the top of the Hooter Hider allows you to shape it so you have eye to eye contact with your baby, while your baby (and breast) is hidden to the rest of the world.
You can buy the Hooter Hider at various boutiques - I like Mom4Life - use this link to receive 10% off your order of anything on the Mom4Life store. (Search for "Hooter Hider" once you're on the site.)
