Polishing the Apple: Teacher Gifts

I found this helpful Thank You! Your vote will be tallied soon!

The school year is winding down and it's not too early to be thinking about teacher's gifts for the end of the year. I am not very organized but I do take time to get thoughtful gifts for the teachers at the end of the year. I don't spent a ton of money but I think it's a nice way to say thank you.

Giving the teacher a unique gift is a nice way to end the year and start the summer.
Here are a few ideas that I have used:

Fun Office Products
Don't get anything APPLE related. Every teacher has a closet full of apple items. Be original.
You don't have to spend a lot of cash to find something special for the teacher. A colorful holder for pens is nice. A funky box to hold paperclips is easy and useful. For $5 you can get some great stickers for the teacher at Fred Flare.

Animal or Hobby Gifts
Is the teacher an animal lover? Does he or she like to knit? A gift that reflects a favorite hobby or interest will make the teacher feel great. The pug bank in the picture can be found at Delight.com. Or you can get the cook/baker teacher a set of "dessert" erasers at Fred Flare.

Note Cards
Note Cards or Stationery are a welcome gift for anyone but especially for teachers. They need to write home notes to parents or send thank you notes, so give them a way to do it with style.
I've mentioned it before but Fabulous Stationery is one of my favorite stores on the web.
