Twisted ABC T-Shirts and Towels

My new favorite store for baby stuff is Baby Dagny -- stuff for babies (and mommies) that is chic and unbelievably hip. Now all I need is a baby to buy this stuff for and I'll be fine....

EEEK!

Now that I'm back from that baby moment (and it was just a moment), visit Baby Dagny for yourself.

Meanwhile, I am going to rent my best friend Missy's toddler and go crazy at Baby Dagny.

Bottlecap Buttons

Posted April 16, 2007

Bottlecap Buttons by Rhett Johnson are FABULOUS.

Johnson makes each button art in a funky and wonderful way. What I love the most about these buttons is the way just a few can transform a "blah" jacket or top into something truly unique. Check out the various bottlecap buttons by going to my favorite store, STUFF. You can find out more about Rhett Johnson's bottlecap buttons by going to the online store.

Cool Stuff

Posted April 16, 2007

I am not a great seamstress. I know just enough about sewing to be dangerous. But even if you have to pay someone to sew on the materials, it… Read More

Einstein had Learning Disabilities

Posted April 04, 2007

I just read the best article in WIRED magazine about Einstein. People know about the genius of Albert Einstein but they often forget that he was a "slow" child. Einstein was slow to speak as a child and had a cheeky defiance of authority and rote learning.

The things that made Albert Einstein a "difficult" student as a child are the same things that helped unlock his genius as an adult. His nonconformity led to his greatest discoveries.… Read More

ArtBoxes-Art as a Light

Posted April 03, 2007

I love ArtBoxes. The original ArtBox project was created by New York artist and gallery owner Andrzej Bialuski. Andrzej created the project as a way of collaborating with designers and artists all across the world.

I became aware of ArtBoxes when I had my own retail store and I sold them. I don't have the store anymore but I continue to be hooked.

Here are some of my favorites:
