Stuff and Things

Today my husband's mother officially moved into her new house across the street. Bottom line vs. preschool

Yesterday, in the throws of a big financial stress headache, we decided it was time to take our son out of his current $500-per-month preschool. We've already found him a spot at another school for next year at a much cheaper monthly price of $145. Needless to say, his current preschool is out of our price range. New budgeting plan

Our first month of using credit cards instead of our debit cards has come to end. I received my first credit card statement yesterday. It was $244 over our normal monthly budget, plus we had to replace our home computer since it took its last and final grisly whimpering breath in February. This meant I ended up pulling from savings, again, to cover our over spending.

So I've made more of an effort over the past couple of days to be more present with my kids and I already feel better. Tuesday afternoon we went to the mall and spent over four hours between the play area and the local library (it's weird, but our most convenient local branch is actually inside the mall).
