It's rare that I link to my other blogs but this time it
makes sense. On my taxgirl.com blog,
I posted about the value of a mother. I
know, you've already heard this story...
Salary.com has again quantified the annual
"salary" of stay at home and working moms. But I don't know that

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!
I used to hear people say that being a mother was the most difficult job on the planet and I would think, " Yeah right, how hard can it be?"
Years later, as the mother of not one, not two but three little ones, I understand why folks say that. It's not that being a mom is one job. It's a bazillion jobs. It's cook, janitor, nurse, therapist, teacher, art instructor, personal… Read More

I am not the only one searching for a new vehicle these

Ear, Nose and Throat specialist at Children's Hospital of
Philadelphia for my youngest daughter. She is two years old.
Amy has been sick for most of her life. And by sick, I don't mean that she has been plagued by the kinds of serious illnesses that many moms face. It's not cancer, it's not diabetes. Amy has chronic sinus infections. I wasn't aware of how much… Read More

So there's nothing like a nasty case of the stomach flu to
make the
idea of a vacation even more appealing.
And a few more rainy days with 50 degree nights is pushing me towards the idea of warmer weather.
I ran away from warmer weather. I am originally from North Carolina and I thought I would escape those 90 degree days with 100% humidity when I moved up north. And I couldn't imagine ever longing… Read More
