Where's My Manual?
They don't teach you this stuff in medical school
I've gotten quite a few compliments on my clothes these days, and many people are shocked when I tell them they are maternity.
Gone are the days when maternity clothes are basically tents which you set up camp in, shapeless billows of fabric that make you look 10 times fatter than you actually are. They are more form-fitting, stretchy, shirred, accentuating your curves and your bump rather than obliterating them.
I love, love, love that I can still look hip and… Read MoreI really thought that whether or not to register for a diaper disposal system seemed non-negotiable. I mean, we're dealing with excrement here, and I felt the need for a full-service disposal station.
I read the debates on parent message boards while deciding which prototype to register for and it seemed like a mixed bag...this one can't contain the stink. That one can't contain the stink. This one has expensive refills. That one is impractical...It was difficult to finally make… Read MoreIt's a monumentous day in the DrMommyKC household. Our county's public pools have these programs for really little children, year-round in indoor pools, and we thought we'd give it a try and see if she liked it.
The basic set-up of these classes are a… Read MoreMy husband is fond of using the "But, you're eating for two!" excuse whenever he is trying to get me to indulge in dessert or seconds these days.
I don't know why he encourages me to become huge.
I mean, hello, remember the last pregnancy when I was huge, that wasn't fun was it? You think I'm exaggerating, but no. I gained 51+ pounds by the time I delivered, which for my 5'4½" frame, is living large. I was 10 days late,… Read MoreOf course we needed a kiddie pool! We had recently taken Jolie out to dinner one hot summer night and there was a large spraying fountain built into the center of… Read More
