I've tried my best--I really have. It's just so hard.

Exercising has never come easily to me. Nothing athletic ever has. The first sport that I ever signed up to play was soccer when I was in the first grade. Early bird catches the worm--or in my case, the hottest new toy for Christmas.

Healthy fall snacks

My children are the best eaters, but there's one thing that they will eat plenty of--snacks! I'm trying to be better about not buying pre-packaged, processed foods. These two recipes, Apple Chips and Homemade Granola Bars, make great snacks that your kids will love and make for a great replacement to all of the Halloween candy that might be lurking around your house.

Apple Chips

1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
