Category: Cakes and Cupcakes

Tell us about the theme of your party and how you made it fabulous:

We did a Wall-E Birthday for my oldest son's 5th. And we had a stand-up Wall-E Cake and a pin the arm on EVE game that i made. The kids had so much fun that day. We had a space walk for the kids since the movie was in space. We had recycled everything! We had laser pointer laser tag in the dark! It was so fun!

List of Materials (craft) / Ingredients (cakes or cupcakes):

2 square cakes
1 sheet cake
fondant
binoculars

Instructions for making your party craft or birthday treat:

We made two square chocolate cakes for wall-e's base and 1 white sheet cake to cut out wall-e's wheels. We made yellow fondant and bought a pair of binoculars for his eyes.
Then it was just a process of cutting and putting it together using the icing and dowel rods to hold it in place.
Contest Photo Tips and Guidelines:
  • Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple -- your gingerbread house or holiday cookie is the star!
  • Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
  • Upload a horizontal photo. If you crop the image on your computer, make sure you keep a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio.
  • For best results, make your image 1200x900 (or "save for web").
  • With a digital camera, you can take as many photos as possible and choose the best one. Have fun!
