Lexington, Kentucky has everything a horse lover could want!! First off, the Kentucky Horse Park, a working horse farm and also an educational theme park dedicated to mans relationship with the horse, along with holding the distinction of being a retirement home for some of the world's greatest competition horses, including Cigar and 2003 Kentucky Derby winner Funny Cide. It will play host to the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games this year! We also have two historic horse racing tracks: The Keeneland Race Track, considered the leading proving ground for top Thoroughbreds, Keeneland Race Course hosts several preparation races for the Kentucky Derby and the Breeders Cup, as well as numerous stakes races throughout the year; the other is the Red Mile Track, where horses pull two-wheeled carts called sulkies while racing, also referred to as harness racing. So, come to Lexington and see the horses...you won't be disappointed!
