Steps:
1)started with a 1/4 sheet cake on a foil wrapped wooden board & spread a thin layer of icing.
2)placed a 2nd 1/4 sheet cake on top & spread another layer of icing.
3) placed a 3rd 1/4 sheet cake on top, & carefully carved out the center on an angle to create the stadium seating on an angle.
4)used a 4th 1/4 sheet & cut it into 4 equal pieces. I cut away a slight angle to each side.
5)lightly iced the side of the 3 stacked 1/4 sheets to apply the 4th cut 1/4 sheet pieces to each side to add the "extra seating".
6)crumb iced the whole cake & sat in freezer over night.
7)generously iced the entire cake, & used my spatula to smooth the sides. I used a 3 sided cake comb to create the look of bleachers.
8)sprayed the outside of the cake with blue airbrush.
9)shook some sprinkles for the "people"
10)used my small offset spatula to spread it around without touching the "bleachers"
11)Add the finishing touches and my hand-made trees, scoreboard lights & Lion Head... & of cour
Contest Photo Tips and Guidelines:
- Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple -- your cake is the star!
- Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
- Upload a horizontal photo. If you crop the image on your computer, make sure you keep a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio.
- For best results, make your image 1200x900 (or "save for web").
- With a digital camera, you can take as many photos as possible and choose the best one. Have fun!
