Brief Description:
I made this for my nephew's 2nd birthday.
Ingredients:
Pillsbury white cake mix with all the required ingredients and sour cream (to make it a little more dense).
Homemade butter cream.
Fondant dyed black.
Homemade butter cream.
Fondant dyed black.
Steps:
I frosted in between the layers of the cake then stacked them. I cut the cake to shape and frosted it and put it in the fridge. After the fondant was dyed black, I rolled it out and draped it over the cake. The rim and tread were hand cut and I used cutters for the letters. I applied each cutout to the cake and brushed it all clean.
Contest Photo Tips and Guidelines:
- Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple -- your cake is the star!
- Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
- Upload a horizontal photo. If you crop the image on your computer, make sure you keep a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio.
- For best results, make your image 1200x900 (or "save for web").
- With a digital camera, you can take as many photos as possible and choose the best one. Have fun!
