Ohio State University Drum Major

My son loves the Ohio State Drum Major so much that he wanted to be it for Halloween. We found a toy soldier costume, and altered it to best match the official OSU drum major uniform as closely as possible...right down to the baton that he carries!

We used red ribbon and sewed it to the pants to match the drum major's red stripe. For the baton, we used a metal rod and a plastic ball and gold spray paint. For the drum major hat, we bought a feather and attached it to represent the plume on the hat. For the Ohio State emlblem, we found a penant and ironed it on to attach it to the front.
