Hot Pink iPod w/Music
- Contest Photo by: Gunn-Jacobi_Family

Description
Last year my 9 year old daugher came up with a Hot Pink Apple iPod complete with music and earphones that played music. It took us a few nights, several yards of hot pink felt and a couple bottles of fabric glue and the creation was complete. The screen of the iPod showed a Hannah Montana song, so we used the Hannah Montana CD in a portable CD player and taped that to the inside and used speakers that blarred the song for all to hear. She attended the Halloween Dance at school and from the moment she walked in the door she was greeted with her fellow school mates that were so impressed that her costume was homemade. The principal was so excited because she said that Halloween is all about creating and making your own costume and not many people do that anymore!

Large Box, Felt (hot pink, white and gray), card board, clear wrap, Indesign (graphics program for designing the screen), color printer, scissors, craft glue, styrofoam ball cut in half (for head phones), 2 small skinny oblong pieces of stryofoam, white cotton material, glue gun, white rope approximately 4 feet, mini black pompons, portal CD player, portal CD player speakers, CD and clear packing tape.
Instructions
Tips for Taking a Great Photo:
- Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple -- your costume is the star!
- Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
- Upload a horizontal photo. If you crop the image on your computer, make sure you keep a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio.
- For best results, make your image 1200x900 (or "save for web").
- With a digital camera, you can take as many photos as possible and choose the best one. Have fun!
