Description
We dressed the girls up in coordinating flamingo & palm tree costumes.
Materials
Flamingo: pink dress, black tights, pink feathers, foam, black glitter, google eyes, glue, white paint, pink fringe
Palm Tree: brown dress, brown tights, green felt, green sparkle material, gold fringe
Palm Tree: brown dress, brown tights, green felt, green sparkle material, gold fringe
Instructions
Sew pink fringe around the edges of the pink dress and gold fringe horizontally around the brown dress.
Sew feathers as wings on the pink dress to the shoulder and elbow area. Cut out "palms" from green sparkle fabric and felt. Sew together and stuff then sew to the brown dress.
Cut out the flamingo head from two pieces of foam, glue the beak together, paint with white paint and glue black glitter on for detail. Glue feathers in a circle pattern on the head of the flamingo and glue the eyes in the center of the feathers. Sew gold sparkles together for palm tree head band.
Tips for Taking a Great Photo:
- Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple -- your costume is the star!
- Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
- Upload a horizontal photo. If you crop the image on your computer, make sure you keep a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio.
- For best results, make your image 1200x900 (or "save for web").
- With a digital camera, you can take as many photos as possible and choose the best one. Have fun!
